The Team:
The Communications & Events team manages communications activities and events for Alberta Central and the Alberta credit union system. Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Events, the Coordinator supports the team by coordinating the various communications programs for both internal and external stakeholders as well as organizing various confernences and events.
The Position:
The successful candidate will be performing the following functions:
- Coordinate, write and edit weekly and monthly publications for Alberta Central and the Alberta credit union system (including proofreading and managing submissions with internal departments and external customers).
- Maintain and update internal and external websites.
- Manage system directories and coordinate printing and distribution of the Alberta Credit Union Directory.
- Organize and manage employee events.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Central’s Annual General Meeting/Convention, Management Conference and Directors Conference.
Assist with special projects as required.
Requirements:
- Post secondary education, preferably in Communications. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in communications or related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe InDesign.
- Ability to effectively prioritize a variety of tasks, with competing timelines.
- Must be bondable and successfully complete credit and security checks.

- Previous experience organizing events would be an asset.
