IFM Media Inc, publishers of Inside Fitness Magazine, “Canada’s #1 Fitness and Bodybuilding Magazine”, is currently looking for a part-time Junior Web & Print Designer.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Art Director, the selected candidate will perform a range of graphic design, advertising, and visual communications duties for our publications from our head office. This position requires an individual who can multitask effectively and work well within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment at an intermediate level. The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be comfortable working within a team environment and be able to operate independently when needed. Must be flexible for shifts changing based upon deadline requirements.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Develop/update creative ads from minimal instructions in a deadline-oriented environment
* Follow direction and complete work quickly, accurately and often to tight deadlines
* Work individually and with a team to meet or exceed design goals
* Develop editorial layouts for print
* Design, update and help maintain corporate websites
Qualifications:

* A graduate of a recognized 2-3 year Graphic Design program
* Fluency in Microsoft, HTML, Adobe/Macromedia Creative Suite (Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Acrobat, DreamWeaver, Flash), CSS,
In-depth knowledge of the Internet and current advancements in Web technologies – in a Mac environment
* Experienced in design, layout and quality control of printed material
* Ability to prioritize work and manage regular time constraints
* Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
* Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
* Interest in fitness, bodybuilding and health would be an asset
