Senior Manager, Digital Media Research and Analytics – Toronto

Rogers Digital Media is looking for an experienced professional to lead and develop the strategic direction of digital media research and analytics initiatives focusing on sales, product and syndication support, as well as defining analytics and custom research needs.

Reporting directly to the Director, Business Development and Marketing, the Senior Manager, Digital Media Research and Analytics will work closely with the entire Digital Media line of business, including product and sales leadership, to develop and build processes for analyzing web, mobile and other digital data sources to drive core insights and suggest solutions that drive fundamental improvements to customer experience and revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize analytics tools including Omniture, Google Analytics, and Comscore
  • Implement the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports that assess Rogers Digital Media and competitors’ product performance (web and mobile)
  • Support marketing in preparation of sales and marketing collateral
  • Monitor the industry for key trends, initiatives, competitive dynamics, market estimates and emerging technologies
  • Represent Rogers Digital Media on industry panels and working groups
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to assist with data collection and reporting, including user experience and product design
  • Exhibit a high level of expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple “listening posts” (websites, surveys, testing, CRM systems, market research etc)

Typical Deliverables:

  • Weekly, monthly reports and management dashboards (excel reports, clickstream analytics, etc)
  • Supporting and validating sales materials
  • Website behavior and customer experience analysis
  • Data consolidation and validation of configuration on web and mobile
  • Documentation relating to existing processes and suggestion / presentations for improving those processes

Qualifications

  • A University or College degree in technology and business is required
  • At least three to four years of working with standard digital analysis tools: Omniture, WebTrends, Comscore etc.
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Two years of experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research
  • An understanding of the media industry, including Television, Radio and Publishing
  • Three to five years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills
  • Three to five years of business analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions / business units preferred
  • Mid-level expertise in the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
  • Exposure to project management skills, business process redesign principles, tools and techniques a plus
  • Superior communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
