Web Designer, Marketing – Masterfile Corporation
Based in Toronto, Canada, Masterfile is one of the world’s largest independent stock photo agencies. We acquire, organize, distribute and license images for commercial use in media ranging from print advertising to websites.
We’re looking for a Web Designer to work with our Marketing and Development teams to build standards-compliant online marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with marketing team and ad agency to develop and launch marketing campaigns on time in a fast paced environment.
- Build, test and launch multi-lingual and multi-regional HTML email campaigns on a set schedule.
- Update website and front page marketing promos on a regular schedule.
- Work in conjunction with graphic designers in the development of site design & functionality.
- Track approvals with various sales managers in multiple territories.
- Stay current with email marketing standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding HTML and CSS.
- Solid visual design and interaction design skills.
- Practical knowledge of modern web standards, user experience, and user interface design principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
- Understanding of template languages such as Velocity.
- Solid knowledge of optimizing web graphics with Adobe Photoshop.
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of iterative design.
- Understanding of JavaScript libraries and AJAX.
- Experience with producing table-based HTML email designs.
- Experience with localization and internationalization of web applications.
- Experience with Subversion or other source control systems.
- Practical knowledge of issue trackers and wikis such as JIRA & Confluence.
- Interest in photography and social media.
We are located near Wynford Drive and the DVP, accessible via TTC Route 100 from Eglinton or Broadview subway stations.
