Web Designer – The Brick

We are currently recruiting for the position of Web Designer in our Corporate Office in Edmonton, AB.
Position Overview:
* Preparation of promotional graphics for use on multiple hosted retail web sites in accordance with the advertising calendar
* Work closely with various internal stakeholders to create and edit various ancillary/static content pages on multiple hosted websites
* Create standardized interactive graphics for online advertising purposes as well as optimized HTML content for email marketing.
* Consistently deliver a high quality web product
* Pay close attention to detail and be able to critique your own work
* Actively and effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from various departments
* Be self-motivated and contribute to an innovate and culture of continual improvement
* Prioritize with the overall marketing team workflows and strategy
Education and Experience Required:
* A Diploma or Certification in interactive/web and graphic design
* 3+ years solid experience creating web graphics, animations, user interfaces, icons, style sheets, color schemes, templates and layouts for use in online advertising and web site projects, ensuring that all of these assets are consistent with established website Style Guides
* Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
Knowledge and Skills Required:
* In depth knowledge and strong working experience with Adobe Design Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and HTML and CSS editing tools
Additional skills that would be an asset:
* Flash and action scripting
* Search engine optimization
* Java scripting and PHP
* Content management systems
