We are currently recruiting for a Web Programmer/User Interface Designer responsible for programming high quality, innovative, user-centered interfaces for elaborate website applications. As part of the R&D team, this person will work on cutting-edge innovations and enhancements to a major website. They must thrive in a collaborative agile team environment, be willing to challenge accepted ways of doing things, and be able to effectively execute rapid implementation of web user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Create new and innovative rich internet applications using progressive web technologies
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new web application features and updates
• Create rapid functional prototypes and proof-of-concepts
• Program web application user interfaces
• Assist in the architecture and programming of server side application components
• Utilize and expand software frameworks following internal development standards
• Work closely with user experience, graphic design, software development, and quality assurance teams in implementation of features
• Apply strong visual knowledge and sensibilities in the creation of simple and effective user interfaces for advanced applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• 3+ years experience as a web development team member participating in the complete product development life-cycle of successfully launched web applications
• Ability to successfully execute multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
• Advanced HTML5, CSS, AJAX, JSON, DOM, and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of coding for cross-browser/cross-platform clients
• PHP experience and familiarity with Object Oriented programming
• Experience with Scriptaculous and Prototype or similar JavaScript frameworks
• Experience hand-coding for a LAMP environment
• Experience with Zend Framework an asset
